WHO ARE WE?

The USS Myrddin, founded in 1998, is a group of relatively like minded
folks with an interest in Star Trek, SciFi, Costuming, Anime, etc.
We like to hang out and have a good time.

DOES THIS MEAN YOU HAVE MEETINGS?

We meet about once a month to discuss actual business items
but that doesn't take much time usually then we spend time hanging
out watching movies, playing games, comparing facial hair or whatever
makes those present happy with one another. Our meetings are
either held at a local dining establishment or at a members home.

WHAT DO YOU DO BESIDES HAVE MEETINGS?

We participate in many events to include Vulkon in Florida, Dragon*Con
in Atlanta GA, the Bay Area Renaissance Festival., movie days, picnics,
as well as doing things for the world around us such as the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life and anything else that includes a good time in a smoke free environement. We occasionally hold events that are geared towards
children so that all members of the club can have a good time.

really helps if you already know a member of the crew and
don't be surprised if it takes a while for him to get back to you,
this Captain stuff takes up a lot of time.

CAPTAIN???

Well in case you hadn't noticed the website displays a bit of a Star Trek
look and feel so the President of the club is sometimes referred to as Captain.

PRESIDENT??? YOU HAVE ELECTIONS?

No, the club president has been the point of contact for the
club since its start and so far that has worked well for us so we
roll with it. He is also usually the one that keeps the ball rolling
forward at meetings. We do also have a VP and a Secretary/Treasurer
who work together with the President as a team to keep the
organiazational side of the club running smoothly.
